Supporting School Readiness and Learning Environments in Adlay

In a steadfast commitment to education and community development, Kafugan Mining Incorporated, through its Community Relations Department, successfully completed the turnover of essential school materials in support of the Brigada Eskwela initiatives of Adlay Community School (ACS) and Adlay National High School (ANHS) on July 4, 2025.

Implemented under KMI’s 2025 Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) and aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Quality Education, the initiative provided vital resources aimed at enhancing classroom readiness and improving the overall learning environment. The support focused on addressing long-standing logistical gaps that have affected school facilities and teaching conditions.

The project directly benefited a total of 1,966 learners and 76 teaching and non-teaching personnel across both schools. The provision of school materials, particularly armchairs that had long been unavailable due to logistical constraints, significantly eased the burden on educators while improving student comfort, focus, and classroom functionality—ensuring a more conducive and welcoming start to the academic year.

This meaningful collaboration with the Barangay Local Government Unit of Adlay and the Department of Education – District of Carrascal highlights KMI’s continued partnership with key stakeholders in advancing education. Through initiatives such as Brigada Eskwela support, KMI reinforces its enduring commitment to strengthening community institutions and fostering sustainable development through education.
