KMI Attains Platinum Award in the 2025 Presidential Mineral

As an emerging company with only three years of commercial operations, Kafugan Mining Incorporated proudly attained the Platinum Award in the 2025 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) held on November 21, 2025, at the Camp John Hay Trade and Cultural Center, Baguio City.

KMI is a mining company engaged in the exploration, development, and operation of mineral properties in the Philippines. The company commenced its commercial operations on October 22, 2022, through its flagship project—the Pantukan Nickel Laterite Mineral Project located in Brgy. Adlay, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.

The award was personally received by KMI Resident Manager Engr. Joseph Emmanuel Lagan, together with Madame Tonee Lynn Co-See, Corporate HR & Admin Head, on behalf of the company. Platinum Award recognized as the second-highest distinction under the PMIEA—highlights KMI’s exemplary commitment to responsible mining.

This remarkable milestone underscores KMI’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship, community-centered development, and a robust safety and health culture reflecting the company’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of responsible and sustainable mining.
