KMI Successfully Turns Over Water Supply Truck to BLGU Adlay

Kafugan Mining Incorporated successfully turned over a Water Supply Truck to the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Adlay on October 14, 2025, at Adlay, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.

This initiative forms part of KMI’s Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), which seeks to enhance community services and promote sustainable local development.

The turnover was formally received by Hon. Norberto Rubi, Jr., Punong Barangay of Adlay, together with the Barangay Adlay Officials. This project is expected to benefit approximately 7,042 residents by improving access to clean and safe water and strengthening the barangay’s capacity in sanitation and disaster response.

Through this project, KMI reaffirms its commitment to responsible mining and community partnership while aligning its efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation—to help improve living conditions and promote environmental sustainability within its host and neighboring communities.
